Many of my students struggle with math, and one way to increase their engagement is not only by offering them choices when it comes to what they will learn but also where they can learn it. When my students begin projects related to Nevada Academic Content Standards 8.G.A.1 & 8.G.A.2 (Understand congruence and similarity using physical models, transparencies, or geometry software), they will be able to move around the classroom easier without having to navigate between multiple individual student desks taking up the same amount of space as one of these tables will.
