These resources will help my students better understand how chemical reactions of acids and bases relate to their everyday life. (HS-PS1-2)(HS-PS1-7) My students have spent the last two years virtually and these resources will give them hands-on chemical experiments dealing with acids and bases and pH of common household items. A basic understanding of acids and base chemistry is essential to understanding biological systems, medical applications, and many more aspects of our everyday life. Most students have a basic understanding of the properties of acids but few know about bases and their properties.
