These materials will allow students to channel energy in ways that keep the entire classroom focused on learning. Students can release energy by bouncing their feet on the bands to alleviate nervousness or overexcitement. The stools are well-loved by all students because the stool allows for seated movement. The cuddle balls are calming and can help an anxious student feel a sense of comfort. The self-calming cards will teach students appropriate ways to respond to an increase in emotion. The popping fidget toys are inconspicuous and also help to focus/calm the mind. We aren't built to sit still for 80 minutes. Learning cannot occur when the mind becomes disengaged or restless. My classroom environment will be significantly impacted and students' depth of knowledge will increase exponentially.
