Currently, the students that come to my office sit on the floor or on stools that are not safe for the students I see (they are loose, the students fall off of them, try to tip back on them, etc.) The purpose of this project is two-fold. The students need chairs that are safe and sturdy to sit on so they are not distracted by being uncomfortable on the floor or sitting in a stool that is loose and unable to tip safely. These students try so hard to express themselves, work on their goals, and create connections between their peers and myself; they deserve a space to feel comfortable and safe. I've been searching for other chairs in our school that maybe aren't being used, with no luck. The chairs that are available are also broken, which does not solve the problem. Thank you so much for your consideration, the students and I appreciate it!
