My classroom is a library, the heart of the school. It's called The Eagles' Nest: It's a welcoming and safe place where students come to seek out knowledge and leave all negativity and stressors behind. We have soft lighted calm down areas, we have STEM stations, and shelves of glorious books. When students walk into this library, they are excited about the books that are here. Books they want to read. It's a place where students can't help but smile and be excited about. A place where they feel wanted, heard and appreciated. A place that motivates them to move beyond their circumstances and reach for their dreams. Students are the reason we are here.
