Returning to the classroom after Covid I am striving to provide a variety of opportunities for my students to practice SL1.1 Comprehension and Collaboration. Having access to headphones in the classroom will make it easier to focus on their Chromebook work without having background noise. The products selected are intended to improve language development, teamwork, counting, and spelling skills, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills. Nevada Academic Content Standards 1.NBT, extending the counting sequence (count, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a numeral). Also in this request, are items to increase phonics skills with spelling and letter-sound recognition. RF1.3 Know and Apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Having the students use these hands-on materials will help them greatly in their learning. The many different reading activities and manipulatives will help my students grow as readers and will make learning fun. The STEM projects will help my students learn to be creative and to problem-solve. These materials will help fulfill many content standards for reading, language, and math.
