My students and I have been thrilled by the support we have received through donorschoose.org. Our classroom has been enhanced with a well stocked writing center and a laptop computer, all purchased with funds donated through this organization. The support of donors throughout the community has been overwhelming. As a public school teacher I have routinely had to purchase items for the classroom at my own expense. This often meant forgoing learning materials or classroom supplies that I would have liked to offer my students. It is thrilling that now I am able to get materials and projects funded without the burden of paying for everything myself. I am hopeful that my new projects will be funded so that I can continue to give my students access to a stimulating learning environment. The students and I feel such gratitude for the donors who have chosen to support us.
