The Pizza game and Number Nails activitiy have been useful while working in small groups and have allowed me to work with struggling learners on their one-to-one counting and number recognition. I have also used the Number Blocks puzzles in small groups as well-my students love the Number Blocks which makes them more motivating to use with struggling learners. One of the main purposes of this project was to get charging stations for students' tablets. Before, the tablets were in a filing cabinet and cords were put in the drawers to help the charge. The chargers would come out and they would not get charged, so then students had to sit by the filing cabinet to plug in their chargers. This was an issue in our class. I also had to hand out tablets and collect them for each student. This took up precious instructional time. With the charging stations, students are able to charge their tablets on their own and get them when they need them. This has been a game changer in our classroom. What used to take up 10 minutes each time now takes 2. This also is a way to teach my students responsibility. I cannot tell you how much this one thing has helped our classroom. So many teachers who visit my classroom talk about how amazing they are and how they need them for their own classes. \r\nAdditionally, I also bought some twinkling lights that go around the front of our room's whiteboard. These have added a little touch of coziness in our classroom. Which helps to make our classroom a better learning environment. I can also change the colors for different holidays and that has been so fun for the students to come in and see. They love them!
