The materials that I chose will make a difference by exploring new concepts. The science activity lab will be used for hands-on activities. The Science Lab is constructed in such a way that I can use it for whole-class instruction, but if a student wants to explore the lesson further they may do so by pulling a card, following directions, and constructing their own lab. The Phonics Lab is important because due to lack of instruction during our Covid crisis, my students' reading levels are seriously low. They will be able to pull a card and complete the lesson on the standard that they need. I will be able to use it in a whole class environment as well. The Math Canister Centers will also be a hands-on learning opportunity for my students. They are really helpful in a classroom where I teach multiple grades because if they need additional help with understanding the lesson, they can go to that particular canister and work through the lesson from a different perspective. My students need to be able to focus on their individual learning needs because all students learn differently. I will be able to address my students' needs by reviewing and introducing new exploration across the curriculum. The materials that I chose can be used for learning from home with some creativity on my part on how the lessons can be addressed. I wanted to pick materials that are hands-on and not technology. In today's world, technology is available all of the time through various websites that are often free. The Nevada content standards that the materials are going to address are Operation and Algebraic Thinking 3.0A-4.0A, Language 3.L1 and Content Standards for Science (NVACSS).
