The materials for this project will help build a kitchen for my life skills class and start a coffee and tea bar to support learning job skills. We do not have access to a kitchen for my kids to learn basic cooking skills and how to use everyday household electronics like microwaves. Practicing these skills at school will transfer to using them at home to help build independence. The second part of the project is building a coffee and tea bar to practice job skills. The students will take orders from teachers and practice making and delivering the drinks. This will develop skills like following directions and communication skills needed in the workplace.
