Having these resources readily available in my classroom will allow students to engage independently in centers that are focused on many specific NACS standards. While students are focused on these specialized centers, I will be pulling small groups for differentiated and specific interventions. Since these materials allow me to prepare a center which requires minimal preparation yet produces positive results in which students construct knowledge with their peers to investigate, I will be freed to focus on kid watching and thus differentiation to allow me to meet each students at their zone of proximal development. Some of the English Language Art standards covered with theses materials are: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.K.1.d - letter name CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.K.3.a - letter sound CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.K.3.b - long/short vowel sounds Some of the Mathematics standards covered with theses materials are: CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.A.1 - counting to 100 by 1s and 10s CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.A.3 - writing numbers 0-20 CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.B.5 - counting answer, "how many?" CCSS.Math.Content.K.G.A.3 - naming 2D and 3D shapes CCSS.Math.Content.K.G.B.5 - model shapes in the world by building them CCSS.Math.Content.K.G.B.6 - compose shapes to build larger shapes
