Almost every day in my music classroom, I get asked by a number of students, "When are we going to play the Boomwhackers? Are we ever going to have a chance?" My students LOVE using these instruments because they are colorful, fun, and extremely versatile. My classroom does not have many Orff instruments, so the Boomwhackers have remedied some of our instrument shortages during play-along sections. My students adore these instruments, but due to the small amount we have, there are never enough for everyone to participate at once. With some help, we can afford to purchase a complete set of Boomwhackers, which will open up so many musical and extracurricular possibilities for my students, like playing more songs in class and even start a Boomwhacker band to perform at pep rallies!
