Please help me create an inviting counseling center with a quiet, stress-free space where students will have a warm and confidential office to talk about their anxieties, fears, and problem solve a post-pandemic world. College and career planning and individual student health will be supported in this soothing environment. The lights I added in my cart will create a warm and soothing place for students to unwind and decompress. Meeting each student where they are emotionally and academically is the goal. In addition to my social emotional learning environment, I added a printer which I greatly need to be able to print off documents for students in the counseling center. From transcripts, to schedules, and various other types of documents, a printer is a needed item to create efficiency in my department. Nevada Academic Content Standard 1.ME.HS.1 Investigate the relationship between mental health and physical health. Nevada Academic Content Standard 1.ME.HS.2 Analyze ways to decrease the risk of self-injurious or suicidal behaviors.
