I recently became a content specific teacher. I am currently teaching 5th grade math and science. I believe in learning through hands-on experiences. I inherited a classroom that is void of math manipulaltives. My students deserve to have everything that they need in order to be successful. I have been buying items for two classes to support teaching math and science to over thirty students. It is becoming rather costly. I do not want my students to be deprived of a learning experience, simply because I cannot afford to provide them with learning tools. Many of them are struggling academically due to virtual learning during the pandemic. I just want them to thrive.
