These headphones will be pivotal to set my students up for success! As burgeoning scientists, they must be able to access as much information and knowledge that the world has to offer as possible! In addition, they need to be able to interact with ideas and information in as many ways as possible. We know that all children, and really all people, learn in different ways—some learn by writing, some by watching, some by engaging hands-on, and some by listening. Really, we all benefit from some combination of all of these options and more, but for young students who couldn't yet succinctly tell you how they will learn best, being able to provide all of the options that are out there is an imperative for their education! For many of my students, as much as they were excited to return to in-person school, they have struggled A LOT with readjusting to learning in a classroom full of friends, sounds, and other distractions. By helping provide headsets for my classroom, you are helping me create a learning environment where students can engage more independently, and can take their learning into their own hands by blocking out the noise and focusing on absorbing as much information as they can.
