In our new classroom, without windows, the students miss the sunlight steaming in and enjoying fresh air through open windows. The air purifier and sunlight lamp will allow the students to experience a little of the outdoors in their classroom. Learning about space is one of the students' favorite topics. The space themed science materials will allowed them a more hands on learning experience. Through these materials the students will get to experience science in many different and new ways. Being a classroom of students with Autism, my students need lots of sensory input and practice with social skills. The games will allow them social skills practice as well as learning to ask and answer questions. The sensory tools will help calm my students when energy and emotions are high and allow the students to bring their focus back on their learning.
