The pandemic has resulted in numerous changes that have negatively impacted my students and me. I was transferred from a school where my classroom was fully furnished and organized in a manner that positively impacted student growth. Unfortunately, during transfers, school policy does not allow teachers to take the supplies with them. The room is beautiful but lacks storage. Books and other supplies are stored in boxes inside a closet and it becomes quite challenging to find what is needed as well as time-consuming. Most importantly, the process can pose a potential danger for my students. Prior to COVID 19, several students sat at a table. However, due to the CDC physical distancing guidelines, we are limited in how many students are allowed at a table. Coupled with this, the tables now have protective shields that lessen the available space to seat students. For the above reasons, I will be very grateful for a locked storage cabinet, the table, and the mobile storage center for my classroom. Let me first extend my appreciation for the consideration and the valuable service you provide to teachers in need, which ultimately benefits the students. Thank you.
