My students are very active and enjoy having options during class! Flexible seating allows them to make choices for themselves and be allowed independence in their learning. I would like to provide my students with more flexible seating options in the classroom to allow for more independence and choices during class. When I moved to 8th grade at the end of November I introduced a few flexible seating options to my students. They absolutely love the flexible seating options and all the options that we have are used daily. By having more flexible seating options it would let more of my students have the opportunity to use flexible seating. Eventually, it would be my goal to have enough flexible seating to accommodate all my students, with different types of seating options available to them. By involving students in making choices in how they get to learn they are more engaged in the content. Also, allowing them freedom and independence in choosing their own seats allows me to foster positive relationships with my students.
