Our calming corner gives students the opportunity to take a break in a calm and quite space when they are feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Many of my students have found that doing a puzzle during their time in the calming corner has helped them to refocus and destress so they are able to get back to class quicker. These puzzles will also help students develop and build problem-solving and higher order thinking skills as wells as cooperative and collaborative abilities. Students will also be able to strengthen their social/emotional learning abilities.

About my class
