COVID has had a significant impact on my special education students since they missed out on significant instructional time over the past two years. Now that we're back at school full-time, I strive to provide high-quality instruction that helps them learn the everyday skills that they will need to be successful once they complete their school career. The traditional classroom setting is not always the best setting for my students since they need to move and stay active and learn best using multiple modalities. Now that the students are back at school full-time, they would benefit from flexible seating options and hands on learning materials to allow them to move while being focused and learn. Hands on manipulatives are integral in helping my students generalize their skills to increase their independence. These materials will help out my amazing life skills students both within the classroom and in their every day lives at home and in our community.
