This printer for my classroom will help me provide more exciting, colorful and realistic photos combined with text for my students. It will be used daily to provide academic materials. My current (very old) classroom printer is black and white print, cranky and the quality and detail is not beneficial for my students learning. It it difficult to peak curiosity with a blurry photo or text. My students have significant hearing loss that impacts their literacy and all academic skills. They miss out on information that other students learn through incidental learning because they do not hear information presented all around them. They need colorful, bright, visual materials that can help build their vocabulary. Increasing their background knowledge can help close the gap that prevents them from being in a general education classroom. My students will love having their materials in color!
