These resources will help our students build the community and shape our school culture post-COVID, as is part of the Carson City School District Strategic Plan. (Objective 5.1: Provide every K-12 student with timely opportunities for in-school and extended school programs that enhance critical thinking and problem- solving skills, improve academic performance, emphasize the importance of life skills attainment, and allow for hands-on application of skills.) Our students are coming in during their recesses and after school to problem-solve and create a better school environment. They need the organizational supplies and support to use that extra time effectively! Our students have already organized a canned food drive, volunteered at events, and created their own democratic unit. These items will take their group to the next level.
