These flexible seating options will allow for our LIFT students to experience a sense of pride in their school, a sense of security in our classrooms, and a feeling of worth because we have invested in them. The goals of this program include achieving academic success in all classes throughout the student schedule--they have 5 classes per day and the goal is to pass all five! Through the use of flexible seating, students will be able to sit comfortably, be mobile as needed, and feel "at home" in the classroom. Ideally, students will then be more motivated to study, complete daily work, and achieve their academic goals for success. When our students find success in our classroom, they find success in other classrooms, they feel confident in their ability to succeed outside of the classroom and school. Because they have had this opportunity, it will allow them to be productive in the school, workplace, and beyond.
