These materials are essential to my student's learning. As a first year teacher, I do not have a lot of supplies to let my students use. As a result, if they do not come to school with materials, it can be challenging to participate and learn. My school is in Philadelphia, in the Northeast Section of the city. In the school's zip code, the median annual income is $51101. Consequently, it can be challenging for families to provide these supplies for their children. I don't want any of my students to have to worry about supplies - they should focus their energy on growing their brain and learning with their classmates. With these supplies, they can do just that. They can express their thoughts and ideas without a worry about where they will write it or what they will write with. These supplies would fully unleash my student's creativity and self expression.
