Students will be able to use art to enhance their knowledge and explanation of English and Literature within the class. Many students need resources beyond writing to show their understanding. Art can can help illustrate students understanding of literary devices, characterization, symbolism, and more. Within the classroom students will use art along with English lessons to enhance the learning process. Many students use art as an outlet, but adding it to the lessons help integrate their artistic love with the learning process. The benefits of art with learning is the engagement of multiple senses. The books will support the independent reading process. Also the books selected incorporate multiculturalism in the classroom.
