Untrusted playtime is crucial for their development. These games and activities will provide students with fun choices for indoor recess. This is especially important with a cold and wet winter coming. As students participate in games, they will build their social skills and friendships. This is a major focus of my classroom. Games will help my students practice turn-taking and waiting. Items like basketball, ring toss, and corn hole will allow them to practice gross motor skills. They will practice their communication skills while cheering for each other.
