My students have communication needs. Some are nonverbal and will use the iPad to help them say the words they are not able to. Some of my students have auditory processing deficits. This means that loud sounds or noises interfere with their comprehension and understanding of concepts and directions. The headphones will help block out these sounds and allow them to listen to music, videos, or other educational material that will calm their nerves. My goal is for my students to participate in the world well equipped with the resources they need.
