My students will be able to compose music with a state-of-the-art musical digital audio workshop. They will be able to connect, edit, learn, and exchange ideas, all through the power of this device, which is set up both for in-person learning, and remote learning. I will be able to help and support their work with ease, in real-time, and contribute to the beautiful musical compositions of our young women. Currently we are working on creating film/scene scores. Unfortunately, our workshop setup is too outdated for me to properly guide the students. With this device, ease of composition is created, and a true mentor/protege relationship is formed, improving their projects, their excitement for music and composing, and helping to ease the difficult emotional adjustment to in-person learning… all through the power of the Arts. Additionally, the students can use their finished projects as supplementary material for their college applications. This will also provide a very needed outlet and release for our students. Lastly, this device will eliminate the use of paper in our choral and drama programs, saving thousands of copies that we usually have to make, per year.
