However, the modernity and ease of entry from the language helped many students learn and cherish Shakespeare's writing.\r\n\r\nAs we now draw closer to 'Macbeth', my students are feeling confident and prepared to handle this next Shakespearean play. What themes will be present in this play? How can we analyze Shakespeare's syntax and diction to connect it back to the AP Lit expectations? It's all starting anew, and we couldn't have done it without you!","fullyFundedDate":1765328489367,"projectUrl":"project/shakespeare-made-easy-reading-macbeth/9797271/","projectTitle":"Shakespeare Made Easy - Reading 'Macbeth' in Modern English","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10190850"},{"teacherId":9402405,"projectId":8090710,"letterContent":"The donations toward our project made such a big difference in the day‑to‑day counseling work with students. The Break Box Big Party Snack Box, Calm Strips, fidget toy friends, SEL books, snacks, coloring books with utensils and more, all became tools that helped students feel comfortable and ready to talk. The sensory items helped students regulate when they were feeling overwhelmed, and the coloring books and SEL materials opened the door for them to express what they were feeling in a low‑pressure, creative way. Even something as simple as offering a snack helped create a sense of safety and care—students were more relaxed and better able to engage once their basic needs were met.\r\n\r\nThese items didn't just support individual sessions—they helped shape the overall atmosphere of the counseling space into one that feels calm, welcoming, and student-centered. Students had options for how they wanted to cope or participate, which helped them feel more in control and more willing to open up. The activities, books, and sensory tools made the counseling room a place where students could breathe, reset, and feel understood. Thanks to these donations, our counseling environment is more supportive, more responsive, and ultimately a space where students can build confidence in their SEL skills and feel truly cared for.","fullyFundedDate":1711022696667,"projectUrl":"project/nurturing-minds-the-essential-trio-with/8090710/","projectTitle":"Nurturing Minds: The Essential Trio with An Immersive Experience","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Quinonez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9402405_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701826799801","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9402405"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30746","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":544,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":42,"percentBlack":29,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.3,"schoolId":30746,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Young Women's Leadership High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Young Women's Leadership High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/young-women-s-leadership-school-queens/30746"}
