Students will be using the mortar and pestles to crush leaves, petals, and more to make paints from scratch. They will use the paste and scrapbook paper to create their front and back covers of their books. They will use the rest of the paints and pens to illuminate their borders and letters in their books. They will be their own illuminators, scribes and more. These materials will bring their books to life. Our students have been working very hard in writing their poems. Their poems are inspired by the community they are from and where their parents come from, and who they are as individuals. Help us complete the last step of bringing in an amazing art experience of making their own books.
