It is important that students read about people from different backgrounds. These books will bring my students reading adventures! They will also help them develop further as readers and increase their critical thinking. They are just what my students need to grow! This novel centers around a student who was born with a facial deformity, this novel will build tolerance, kindness and empathy toward others. Working in a diverse school, I want all students to be represented in the novels and books we read and discuss in our daily learning.
