By having The Crossover books in my grade level, my students will have a deep understanding of this coming of age novel and relate it to their life experiences. As we have read the story they have found things related to their experiences growing up. My students have began to love the characters in this story as if they know them in real life. Not only do they relate to the material and background of the story but, it lights a fire under them knowing that they can dream as high a mountain and use this story to prove that everyone can reach their ZENITH!

About my class
