The chairs, rug, side table, plants, and the additional materials will provide the opportunity to the students to have access to flexible seating spaces and hand-held manipulatives for students to access during transitions, collaborative tasks, and assessments. (i.e. content based, state testing; MAPS, CRT, SBAC) Nevada NVACS (5.DM.K.1) which focuses on students' decision making skills. Identifying and responding to negative (or positive) situations which promote student wellness when they are able to advocate for themselves during uncomfortable situations both inside and outside the class. In a comfortable environment students can reflect and assess their mental and emotional well-being to help guide the decisions for the best outcome in those moments. The hand-held materials will reduce the spread of germs (covid-19) by adding supplies for their individual use during labs.
