Students with visual impairments use sensory objects to connect academic learning to real life activities. Providing sensory activities to students enhance their learning experiences. Reading and writing braille requires a lot of hand strength. Sensory kits will also help students build hand strength while learning. Additionally, sensory kits will allow students with visual impairments to enjoy indoor recess time on cold, snowy days when students are not able to go outside. Sensory kits allow students with visual impairments to explore their classrooms and learning in a meaningful way-with their hands.
