Having the tablets to use during small group rotations would allow my students get extra support with phonics and phonemic awareness. In each group of 6, my students could have their own tablet to practice vital skills taught in the Reading lesson that week. These skills are lacking because my students did not have a normal classroom experience last year. Due to COVID, most of my students are an entire grade level behind. Having this extra practice would reinforce what I am teaching in the classroom and help them begin to start reading. Each tablet would be loaded with phonics lessons and short stories to practice the skills they were just taught.
