My students are very energetic and need the ability to move around. The standard classroom chairs are not comfortable for all kids. By offering flexible seating, It gives every student a chance to be comfortable which will make learning enjoyable for them. During the pandemic students got used to working from the comfort of their own home. They enjoyed the ability to sit on their comfy couch or their bed while they learned. Flexible seating gives them the best of both worlds. They get to enjoy comfortable seating like they had during virtual instruction, while they get an in-person education. My students often enjoy any chance to move around and sit in a chair that they feel is special. I could use these at any time of the day. The cushions could be used on the carpet to allow the students to be more comfortable while sitting on the carpet for whole group instruction. All other seating would be utilized during independent work and center time.
