We are encouraging our students to read more books by offering prizes based on how many points they earn on A.R. Many of our students like the idea of reading but choose not to, or choose to read books that are too easy for them. These incentives will provide the students with more reasons to read. The students at my school are absolutely amazing, and we want to make sure they are given every opportunity to succeed not only now, but throughout life. We believe that reading proficiently in a huge step in that process and this will give them another reason to read.
