Flexible seating allows students to work comfortably so they are able to focus on their learning with less distractions. My students are allowed to choose a work location comfortable foe their learning. Because the only furniture available to them is traditional desks and chairs, they are not very comfortable when working. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. My students love when they are given the opportunity to work in other areas of the classroom aside from their desks, but when they do have to work at their desks, a comfortable chair would be ideal. I have students who struggle with sitting still let alone having to sit in one place for any length of time. When I allow them the choice of standing or kneeling or sitting on the floor, the always work much better and are more focused. The flexible products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are adjustable and will allow students to use them at their desks or work stations and allow for movement. These will be extremely beneficial for those students who need to get their wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed. The yoga balls and wobble disks will also allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom. When students are allowed choice, there is a positive affect on students. My hope is that the additional options will help my kiddos grow even more!
