We use shredding as a reinforcement to our prevocational workshop program. This will allow our students to take a break, while still practicing a useful skill. This specific shredder will promote independence with our students because it can handle up to twenty pages of paper. We clean with purpose! Practicing our activities of daily living allows for us to learn skills that are useful at school, home and in the community for job training. We participate in classroom and schoolwide cleaning group, they are excellent skills to have moving on to future placements.
