Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. I would like to start having them chose where they would like to sit during independent work times that works for them. Currently my students sit in their seats but I have noticed they start to get fidgety. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work and have the supplies needed to complete it. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The colorful stools with be used during small group and they get excited when they see different types of chairs then what they sit on at their desk. The seat cushions will give them an option to sit on the floor in areas of the room and the clipboards will help with paperwork. I added art materials and highlighters for them to have if they don't have their own. I don't want any student to feel left out or stressed because they don't have the proper materials needed for a certain assignment. I have seen how choice can positively affect student work and hope that the additional options will help them grow even more!
