The vast majority of our students are English Language Learners and come from low-income families. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic required students to stay home for a very long time. Therefore, students missed out on valuable opportunities to be exposed to English and visit new places. With the items in this project, we can provide students with real-life, relatable images to teach them English vocabulary and help them visualize places and events that they may not have experienced yet. Our students will acquire stronger conversational and academic vocabulary across all subject areas, as well as, increased background and content knowledge.

About my class
