Technology is a huge part of distance learning and even more so now in our everyday classroom activities. Classrooms have moved on to more advanced teaching methods and by providing the teacher with the best quality laptop, I am able to give my students the highest quality education that they deserve. This Apple MacBook will enable me to keep up with the evolving technology and not have to keep updating my laptop, something that I cannot personally afford with my income. After the pandemic, my students lost a lot of instructional time and those that didn't have access to technology were increasingly left behind. As a college prep middle school, a top-of-the-line laptop will make teaching more efficient and allow students to get a creative look at mathematical concepts. Engaging lessons through the Apple software are more "a-peeling" and provide students with seamless presentations. It is also portable and durable which will last me for years to come. For students, the MacBook is much easier to take notes, create and upload assignments, study, research, and stay in touch with friends. Lessons through technology such as learning linear equations and function tables in Pre-Algebra need to be created and downloaded with graphs and tables. Pre-Algebra requires a lot of visual presentations and with the different integrated apps like PowerPoint, iMovie, and GarageBand, classes could apply those into the curriculum to make the lessons more lively and develop a more effective differentiated experience. Apple also offers free online professional learning that makes it easy for teachers to develop lesson plans and connect with other teaching professionals to share experiences, ideas, and inspiration. With an Apple MacBook, students will be more engaged during lessons and hopefully inspire them to develop the love of learning.
