Giving the students that I work with the hands-on materials they need to succeed is the key. Using these materials will help my student over daily learning and health. Having my students have their own water bottles helps teach them responsibility and having a sense that something belongs to just them. Our water fountains at school are closed due to COVID and the only water source that is available in the water bottle filler. As it is hot in Vegas, it is crucial to keep our students hydrated. Having other incentives that can be provided to the students will really help motivate them to really work for something and see that reward be given especially to them. Having a wide variety of materials will help cater to each of my student's needs and wants. Having items that they use in everyday life builds that strong foundation. A lot of these students have had open-ended promises. As an educator, I want to make sure I keep those promises and provide the support they need to really show their true selves. We will use disinfecting wipes to keep students safe and germ-free. The magnetic letters will be used to practice our spelling words and sight words!
