I work with high school students in an urban school who have a various forms of communication disorders. Many of them have a diagnosis of Developmental Cognitive Delay or Autism, and their disabilities include trouble communicating. Some of them struggle to understand high school level language, or to express themselves clearly, and some of them are unable to speak at all.
