We use interactive slide decks and a learning management system with students to complete their work. With the mouse and mouse pad they can use the drawing and highlighting tools to really dig deep into their learning. Next year when they are in third grade, their high stakes steering will be on the computer. We want them to so familiar with using the technology, that their teachers next year will only need to focus on content. Also, they will need to be able to use technology in their secondary school career. I can use the projector stand (cart) with my laptop to project the slide decks that I use with the students. The document camera will work with my new laptop that we received from the school to present writing that we work on as a class. The students are still learning how to write paragraphs so they need to be able to see my model. The document camera would assist with this.
