Our school is brand new and many of our younger students have not experienced a true school community due to interruptions caused by the pandemic. Going back to school in a “new normal” after distance leaning is challenging for kids and families. Many are struggling with anxiety, family changes, and grief and loss. I’d like to create a calming space for overwhelmed students where I can teach students skills to build resilience, confidence and relationships. To support that growth at school and home, I would like to create a library of tools and books to practice those skills anywhere.
