My adorable soccer-obsessed 9th grade heritage speakers will love being introduced to their Spanish literature. Because this is the first year we are offering a Spanish class for native speakers, we don't currently have a classroom library. My main goal is to get my 9th graders excited about reading while they are still so interested in being in this class. Right now they listen to me read or follow along on our classroom screen. I have chosen books that will interest and challenge but not overwhelm them. Our library will remain at school. I am hoping we can get some comfy seating, but my main priority is to procure books they will enjoy.
