These materials and supports will help to keep my students engaged and help to develop them into life-long readers. The flashlights will be used for "Flashlight Fridays" where students get to read in the dark with the use of flashlights. In addition, brightly colored post-its will be used for students to flag important parts of their books and to respond to the text. Lastly, the books will be used as monthly read-alouds to promote growth and learning with their social and emotional skills. When students are excited about reading, they will become engaged readers. We are working to not only become better readers, but to grow into life-long readers. These materials and supplies will help to cultivate a love for reading!
