My project involves using a variety of pictures and stories printed in color to create activities and communication pictures for my students. Many of my students have limited vocabulary or are non-verbal. Using color pictures will help them tell a story, request something they need/want, and learn about things they may not have ever been exposed to. During the COVID-19 Pandemic shutdown they were unable to go into the community to learn and experience things to stimulate their language skills. These materials will help my students increase their communication skills. These Nevada Academic Content Standards will be specifically targeted with these materials: speak audibly and express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly; and describe familiar people, places, things, and events and, with prompting and support, provide additional detail.
