Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are not just buzz words. We need to do better in having classroom libraries reflect the actual student body. Please help me to do this. Showing representation of all ethnicities and cultures is important in a classroom library. I want these books to spark confidence, joy, empowerment and success within my students. When my students go to the bookshelf I want them to see themselves as the protagonist. Too often, media shows them otherwise. I believe this will benefit all students and families that I work with for years to come.
